OUR COMMITMENT UPON RE-OPENING

When we are able to resume office hours your health and our staff’s health will be our number one priority. WE TREAT EVERYDAY AS IF EVERY PATIENT HAS AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE. We will however be implementing extra measures during this time as far as screening and social distancing. We keenly recognize our shared obligation and duty to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and community.

FOR ALL PATIENTS VISITS, WE WILL:

  • Perform a risk assessment and screen all patients the day prior to their appointment by telephone. The day of your visit expect to go through a second screening. We will ask you to phone us upon arriving for your appointment, and at that time we will do a second screening.  We ask that you remain in your vehicle and a staff member will notify you when your treatment room is ready.
  • Ensure that there is no patient interaction. Once you are seated in the treatment room we ask that you remain there and do not attempt to socialize with another patient.  At the end of your appointment if you require another appointment, if you need to see the receptionist for payment or to sign forms you will be accompanied to the reception area only after the previous patient has left the building and all surfaces they have come in contact with in the reception area have been disinfected.
  • Observe meticulous hand hygiene practices throughout the day and hand washing before putting on PPE or handling anything the patient may handle.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during the appointment and interactions with patients and their environment, such as gloves, masks, and eye protection , as required.

BETWEEN PATIENT VISITS WE:

  • Clean, disinfect and sterilize all instruments.
  • We remove all single use barriers and replace with new barriers.
  • Wipe all operatory (treatment room) surfaces with medical grade disinfectants swipes that are  a broad-spectrum sanitizer.  Optim 33TB swipes are one of the fastest and most effective broad-spectrum disinfectants that are safe for our dental staff, patients, equipment and the environment.

AT LEAST ONCE A DAY, WE;

  • Empty standard garbage receptacles and change liners
  • Clean and disinfect all floors throughout the office (vacuum/sweep and mop with hospital grade disinfectants).
  • Clean and disinfect high touch wall features (light switches , door handles, thermostat, ledges etc.)
  • Clean and disinfect the reception area
  • Clean and disinfect all bathrooms
